Because I (Jill) know what it means to be with someone who is addicted to something that can transform who they are in front of your very eyes. Also, my body became addicted to Vyvanse, an ADHD medication, for about a year and a half. I know the ability for something to grab hold of you so quickly and transform you. My own experience gave me a sliver of insight to what struggle other people go through. I am mentally strong and pay attention to my body. I was able to notice the changes it was causing in myself. I don’t know if others are able to do so or if they have someone who is able to recognize and be honest with them about what they are dealing with.
Most individuals have some type of addiction. Yes, possibly even you.
What’s your drug of choice? Sugar, medication, money, alcohol, food, sex, gambling, working out, spoiling your children, video games, hunting/fishing, shopping, caffeine/coffee, crack, extreme sports, this list goes on…
The truth is, some have greater negative consequences than others. However, it is the same struggle when it comes down to it. The chemistry in your brain is fueled by these things and how they make you feel. They all lead us to a direction of depending on other objects, people, statuses, etc. more than we should. Our bodies begin to make adjustments for everything we put into it. This is why it’s so important to feed your body, mind and soul with positive things.
The Journey Real Estate Team has decided to focus their mission on the individuals & their families that struggle with substance abuse. Our desire is to assist people in finding outlets to cope with these things as they work to get back to themselves and out of their destructive lifestyles.
We appreciate your consideration to join our mission in whatever way possible. We have a desire to work with those who support our goal as well.
Helping others is what we get to do. We are fortunate enough to do this in multiple ways. First for our clients & then people our clients allow us to help after the transaction is closed.
